The Beach at Bluewater is Kent’s number 1 attraction this Summer – we’re open every day from the 17th July to the 5th September from 11am to 9pm (weather dependent).
Can you still shop in Tier 4?
Non-essential retail, indoor gyms and leisure facilities must close. People must work from home if they can but may travel if it is not possible. Residents should not enter or leave tier four areas and they must not stay over elsewhere.

Do you have to book the beach at Bluewater?
If you book your admission online before you visit, you will be guaranteed entry. There are a small number of tickets available on the day at the Beach, however, we advise you to arrive as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

From the 19th July, it is expected that anyone visiting Bluewater will wear a face covering, unless they are exempt. Our teams will also continue to wear face coverings, unless exempt, to protect those around them.
Which is better Lakeside or Bluewater?

Why is it called Bluewater?
Blue Circle owned the 240 acre site, and their quarry provided chalk for the builders of London. The idea for a shopping centre was muted by Godfrey Bradman’s Shearwater shopping centre company, who approached Blue Circle to propose the building of a shopping complex on the quarry, and so Bluewater plc was born.
